60A/100A Digital PWM Controller – Precision Speed Control for DC Motors and HHO Generators

Need to control a high-power DC motor without compromising on performance? Or perhaps you’re running an HHO generator that requires stable current to protect your electrolyser? This digital PWM controller with real-time display is the all-in-one solution. Designed to operate between 10V and 55V, it handles a continuous current of 60A and peaks of up to 100A—delivering up to 3000W of power with ease.

Note: It is essential that the motor or load is connected to the controller before powering on. Operating the unit without a load may cause damage to the MOSFET transistors.

Why choose this model? (Key Advantages):

  • Scalable power up to 3000W — compatible with 12V (720W), 24V (1440W), 36V (2160W), 48V (2880W), or 50V (3000W) systems without hardware modifications.
  • 0–100% Digital display — monitor your motor speed with precision rather than relying on guesswork or vibration.
  • Integrated bidirectional control — switch the direction of rotation directly from the front panel without the need for complex rewiring.
  • 15kHz PWM frequency — eliminates annoying electromagnetic noise and protects motor windings during extended use.
  • Ultra-low standby consumption — draws only 0.01A, making it perfect for permanent installation in battery or solar-powered systems.
  • HHO Generator compatible — precisely regulates current to the electrolyser, preventing overloads that can damage plates.
  • Robust terminal connections — heavy-duty terminals ensure a secure, long-lasting connection for high-power cables.

Performance and Technical Specifications

Using PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) technology at a fixed 15kHz frequency, this controller delivers smooth, linear voltage to your load—no steps, no sudden current spikes. The high-performance MOSFET transistors are rated for 100A peaks, ensuring they can handle the heavy start-up currents of DC motors. The compact 120 × 96 × 28 mm module fits easily into standard electrical enclosures or custom DIY builds.

Setup and Operating Instructions

  1. Connect your DC power source (10V–55V) to the input terminals, ensuring correct polarity.
  2. Connect your DC motor or load (e.g., HHO generator) to the output terminals—never power the controller without a load attached.
  3. Set the potentiometer to the minimum position (0%) before the first start-up.
  4. Switch the controller on using the integrated ON/OFF switch on the potentiometer.
  5. Gradually increase the speed by rotating the dial while monitoring the digital display (0–100%).
  6. To reverse the direction: turn the potentiometer to 0%, allow the motor to stop completely, press the direction button, and then gradually increase the speed again.
  7. For continuous currents exceeding 40A, ensure active cooling (external heatsink or fan) is used to maintain safe operating temperatures.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I test the controller without a load connected?

No. Operating without a load can cause irreparable damage to the MOSFET transistors. Always connect your motor or consumer device before applying power.

Is this suitable for a 24V, 30A HHO generator?

Yes, absolutely. The controller supports 24V and 60A continuous current, providing double the capacity required for your generator. Just ensure your power supply is capable of delivering the necessary 30A.

Can I reverse the rotation while the motor is running?

This is not recommended. Always bring the motor to a complete stop (potentiometer at 0%), change the direction, and then restart. Reversing while in motion can damage both the motor and the controller.

Do I need a heatsink for heavy loads?

Yes, for continuous currents above 40A, we recommend installing an external heatsink or cooling fan. Below 40A, natural cooling is sufficient under normal ambient temperatures.

Does this work with brushless (BLDC) motors?

No. This controller is designed exclusively for brushed DC motors. Brushless motors require a dedicated BLDC controller with three-phase switching logic.
