Usage and Diagnosis
If the electric motor does not start, vibrates, makes unusual noises, or “stalls” at startup, one of the HALL sensors may be faulty.
To check, move a magnet above the sensor: the output voltage should vary between 0V and 3.2V. If no variation is observed, the sensor is likely defective and should be replaced.
Note: Other possible causes of motor malfunction:
- Uninsulated or broken wires – especially where the cable exits the motor
- Defective controller
- Power supply or connectivity issues
