Touch Dimmer Module – Turn Any Metal Lamp into a Touch-Controlled Light
Looking to adjust your room lighting without fiddling with buttons, visible switches, or major modifications? Simply touch the lamp shade or base, and you’re done—the light dims, brightens, or switches off instantly. This touch dimmer module hides discreetly inside your lamp, turning any metal component into a functional touch sensor.
Note: The lamp shown in the images is for illustrative purposes only. The product sold is the electronic touch dimmer module ONLY.
Why choose this model? (Key Benefits):
- 3-Stage Dimming + Off: Tap the metal surface to cycle through brightness levels, perfectly setting the mood for any room.
- Wide Compatibility: Works with 25-150W incandescent bulbs, filament bulbs, and 3-25W dimmable LEDs.
- Compact Design (48.2 x 32 x 16 mm): Easily integrates into the lamp body or any small metal housing.
- Simple 4-Wire Installation: Quick and straightforward connection, even for those with minimal electronics experience.
- DIY Versatility: Can be mounted to any conductive metal surface to act as a touch sensor—not just limited to lamps.
Performance and Technical Details
The module operates on the principle of body capacitance: the black wire connects to a metal component (such as a shade, lamp base, or stand), which then acts as the touch sensor. Each tap cycles the light through low, medium, high brightness, and off. It is powered directly by the 220-240V AC mains, and the electronic control ensures smooth transitions between levels, protecting compatible bulbs from electrical surges.
For optimal performance with LEDs, it is mandatory to use bulbs marked as “dimmable” – non-dimmable LED bulbs may flicker or become damaged.

Installation and Usage Instructions
- Disconnect the power supply from the mains before beginning installation for your safety.
- Connect the brown wire to the live (+) wire from the 220V mains.
- Connect the red wire to the live (+) terminal of the lamp or light source.
- Connect the blue wire to the common neutral (-) from both the mains and the lamp.
- Connect the black wire to the metal piece that will act as the touch sensor (metal shade, lamp base, frame, etc.).
- Secure all connections with electrical tape or safety connectors.
- Reconnect the power and touch the metal surface: first touch = low brightness, second = medium, third = high, fourth = off.
Package Contents
- 1 x Touch dimmer module with 4 pre-soldered wires
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the module work with any type of LED?
No. It works exclusively with LED bulbs marked as “dimmable”. Non-dimmable LED bulbs may flicker, produce noise, or suffer damage.
Does the lamp need to have a metal part?
Yes, for the touch function to activate, a conductive metal surface connected to the black wire is required. This can be the shade, the lamp base, or any other accessible metal part.
Can I use the module with lamps stronger than 150W?
We do not recommend exceeding the maximum specified power (150W for incandescent, 25W for dimmable LEDs), as this poses a risk of overheating and damaging the module.
Can the module be installed in a wall as a fixed switch?
The module is designed for integration into the lamp body or a housing that contains the metal sensor piece. It is not a standard wall switch, though it can be adapted for custom builds provided electrical safety standards are met.
Is there any noise or buzzing when the module is in use?
Generally, the module operates silently. A slight buzz may occur if used with incompatible LEDs or at very low power settings; the solution is to use high-quality dimmable bulbs.
